We currently have a permanent full-time position available for a Mental Health Clinician.

Mō te tūnga| Role Overview

The Mental Health Clinician provides a brief intervention talking therapy service for people referred by their General Practitioner experiencing psychological difficulties.  Interventions are specific and short term, utilising Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT) as a practice framework.

Mōu| About you

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant registered health professional qualification and full registration without conditions
  • 3+ years working within a counselling/mental health environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of talking therapy modalities, in particular, to be familiar with Focused Act and Commitment Therapy/FACT and behavioural change.
  • Be self-motivated and organised, with a helpful, flexible, positive, and adaptable disposition.
  • Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to develop relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Good computer literacy with a willingness to learn new systems.
