What you’ll do

  • Work with the Leading Electronic Request Management System in Te Wai Pounamu / South Island and help us grow New Zealand wide.
  • Design and develop secure, reliable web applications using .NET Core.
  • Build and maintain APIs, ensuring clean, maintainable backend code and robust integrations.
  • Create responsive user interfaces with Angular, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database technologies.
  • Apply secure coding practices and contribute to improving application security posture.
  • Debug, test, and troubleshoot to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and code reviews.

About the Product

ERMS is one of New Zealand’s top electronic referral platforms, developed by Pegasus Health with Te Whatu Ora Canterbury Waitaha. It streamlines referrals across the health sector for consistency and efficiency. Jointly designed with clinicians, ERMS enables end-to-end referral management and integrates with common primary care PMS and allied health solutions.

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Proficiency with Angular and modern front-end development practices.
  • Solid experience in C#, .NET Core, and REST API development.
  • Understanding of relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server & PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, and basic CI/CD workflows.
  • Knowledge of secure development principles (e.g. OWASP, validation, authentication best practices).

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud services.
  • Understanding of authentication flows (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
  • Awareness of microservices architecture or modular application patterns.
  • Interest in cloud-native development and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in automating workflows preferably using Artificial Intelligence.

In addition to your technical capabilities, you will also have effective written and verbal communication skills, a systematic approach to problem-solving, independent task management with strong teamwork skills, eagerness to learn new technologies, and a commitment to detail and secure systems.
