HealthOne Privacy Advisor
Are you an experienced privacy professional looking to step into a senior advisory role where your expertise genuinely matters?
HealthOne is seeking a Privacy Advisor to be the authoritative voice on privacy within a purpose‑driven digital health environment.
This senior advisory role offers the opportunity to shape how patient information is protected, support clinicians across the health system, and ensure HealthOne continues to meet its obligations under New Zealand’s privacy framework.
This role is ideal for a confident privacy professional who values integrity, sound judgement, and meaningful impact.
About HealthOne
HealthOne is a
secure, shared digital health record that connects health professionals to the
information they need to provide safer, better coordinated care. We bring
together key patient information from general practice, community care,
pharmacies, and hospitals into a single, trusted view.
Our purpose is
simple: to ensure that every clinician has the right information at the right
time, no matter where a patient receives care. HealthOne supports thousands of
clinicians every day, improving clinical decision-making, reducing duplication,
and helping patients move more smoothly through the health system.
We work closely with Te Whatu Ora, primary care partners, and community providers to continuously enhance the platform and deliver innovative solutions that support modern, connected healthcare. As a team, we’re collaborative, purpose driven, and committed to making a genuine difference for patients and clinicians across the region.

- Support and educate health care professionals using HealthOne, helping them understand their privacy obligations and ensuring high standards of compliance across all provider organisations.
- Oversee the consumer privacy helpdesk, ensuring patients receive professional, timely, and empathetic support for their privacy queries and access requests in accordance with the Privacy Act.
- Develop, update, and maintain privacy training programmes, support materials, policies, and guidance documentation in line with current legislation and best practice.
- Monitor product data use in alignment with the HealthOne Privacy Framework and provide regular privacy governance and risk reporting.
- Work with the Product Manager to ensure automated privacy audit processes remain current and effective.
- Provide preliminary privacy advice to new organisations coming on board, ensuring they meet HealthOne’s compliance requirements before going live.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining public trust and supporting safe, responsible information sharing across the health system.
