Ko tāu ake mahi: What you will be doing
The Director of Hauora Māori and Equity is a Strategic Leadership role that has responsibility for leading the strategic design, implementation and monitoring of the Pegasus Health Equity and Population Health Strategy. There is an Equity Leadership team, which strategically leads our commitment to different communities across the organisation. This role reports to the Manukura (Chief Executive Officer) and is a part of the Pegasus Strategic Leadership Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic leadership of Hauora Māori and equity to improve health outcomes for whānau through enabling our Pegasus primary care network.
- A vital part of the Strategic leadership team of the organisation
- Leading the development, implementation and monitoring of the Equity and Population Health strategy.
- Leading cultural competency and equity education and development of the Pegasus network
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with communities and community providers.
- Supporting our population health approach including our Population Health Advisory Board and Primary Reference groups.
This is a permanent full-time role
based in Ōtautahi | Christchurch.

- a strong understanding of policies and systems and how they impact health equity
- proven strategic leadership experience and knowledge
