Ko tāu ake mahi | What you will be doing
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and committed Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience to join our 24 Hour Surgery/Acute Demand Leadership team as one of two Clinical Nurse Educators (CNE). The role requires the nurse to plan, deliver, lead and monitor education to support a high standard of professional nursing practice within the 24 Hour Surgery team. The specific focus of the role is to work with the Nursing leadership team to plan and prepare training and development programs that support the educational needs of the Nursing team and align with the strategic business plan for 24 Hour Surgery.
The role works closely within the nursing leadership team to provide clinical expertise for continuous improvement and professional development activities.
We offer flexible employment arrangements and provide a supportive learning and working environment. There is the requirement to undertake shift work. The role is for 32 hours per week.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu | What you will bring
A minimum of 5 years post registration experience spanning a broad range of acute clinical nursing practice, and will have completed, or be currently under taking a post graduate qualification in teaching and assessing.
You will demonstrate excellence in clinical leadership; highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; excellent time management and organisation skills, along with the ability to quickly establish positive relationships with a wide variety of people. You will be enthusiastic and passionate about education and use leadership skills to motivate and inspire others. Working well under pressure whilst offering exceptional patientcare at all times will be second nature to you.
